The Di Stefano family

Set amidst the tranquil Italian countryside, the Di Stefano family has devoted their lives to cultivating wheat.

As a seasoned farmer, weather patterns and the looming specter of climate change occupy Angelo Di Stefano's thoughts. "It takes a lot of knowledge and experience to tend to the fields,” he says. “Farming is changing rapidly too.” Angelo has accepted this challenge, aspiring to pass on his knowledge and dedication to his children, should they one day decide to carry on the farm. According to Angelo, farming is more than a profession - it's a calling.

Embracing the rapid changes in agriculture, Angelo turns to digital tools like Atfarm to monitor crop biomass, ensuring the most efficient distribution of fertilizers. As a result of using YaraBela SULFAN and YaraVita, both meticulously tailored for wheat, they have increased both crop yield and quality.

"Farming is very similar to raising children. You have to take care of the soil to get healthy and strong plants. It’s a huge responsibility. Handing down this business and preserving the land in good condition is the legacy I would like to leave behind.

The Di Stefano family, through their diligent use of specialized fertilizers and digital tools, have not only witnessed an enhancement in their crop's quality and yield, but are also seeing reductions in the farm's carbon footprint. Angelo views this as a fundamental step to ensure a solid groundwork for his children to one day assume the farm's stewardship.

"I believe my kids will have a solid basis by the time they take over the farm because most uncertainties typical of farming will have been eliminated."
